ID - Kosmos to take operatorship of Equatorial Guinea block - March 2019
Kosmos Energy struck a deal with London-listed Ophir Energy to take 40% WI and operatorship of Block EG-24 offshore Rio Muni, Equatorial Guinea, the company announced on Feb. 25. The deal takes Kosmos’ stake to 80% WI after it entered the block last June through the acquisition of a non-operated 40% WI from Ophir. Equatorial Guinea’s NOC GEPetrol holds the remaining 20% WI. Block EG-24, which holds prospective resources of ~400 MMbbl, covers 3,537 sq km and is in water depths......
