Chevron reached first oil at Big Foot in the Gulf of Mexico
On Nov. 21, Chevron announced the startup of its operated Big Foot project in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The development utilizes a 15-slot drilling and production tension-leg platform—the deepest of its kind in the world—with design capacity of 75,000 bo/d and 25 MMcf/d.
