Exploration companies are hitting the jackpot with Gabon finds. Eni made a major pre-salt discovery in Block DV of Gabon's Nyonie Deep exploration prospect. Situated in 92 ft of water, the probe was drilled to a depth of 14,150 ft and encountered a 1,050 ft hydrocarbon-bearing section in the clastic sequence of Aptian age.
