Petroleum Listing Service - List with PLS

There are three ways to list: online, download a form or email us

Listings found in PLS are derived from different sources. By far, the majority of properties (>90%) listed in PLS are from our Members who call, write or fax summary information to PLS on interests they would like to sell.

When a listing is sent to PLS it is automatically given an anonymous alpha-numerical identification code (by property type and date order) and immediately printed in the next weekly report. Occasionally, by request and/or by need, listings may appear in other weekly reports on a repeat basis. Finally, listings in PLS stay in our database where they are accessed daily. To update listings - PLS uses email, mail out reminders, and phone contact to assure our data base is current. Listings are pulled from PLS when sold or taken off the market by the seller.

Our fundamental business is "information" (i.e. properties for sale) and we feel our obligation is to the Members who pay us to keep them abreast about the market --by way of PLS publications including --A&D Transactions, Properties & Prospects (E&P), MarketUpdate, & CapitalMarkets reports.

We look at our role as a "bird-dog" and "property finder". PLS will occasionally list properties "found in the public domain." How is PLS' range or access greater than the general market? Well, properties are always referred to us by members; our sale's force ambitiously seek property leads as PLS receives properties directly and indirectly from sellers.

Non-Members listings generally make up less than 5-10% of the properties listed in PLS and overwhelmingly our members/buyers appreciate the additional sale leads and market information. As PLS' thirst for new listings increase to fill our weekly Report MarketUpdate serving a growing membership base, the ratio between formal and informal listings may increase.

Rest assured - PLS does not misuse information, randomly publish non-public information or breach a (potential) client's confidentiality. Almost always, the definition of whether a property is, or is not, in the public domain is easily ascertained… Who is the seller? How did we hear about the sale? What type of property is being offered? What marketing techniques are being used? Is there a broker involved? --Are all questions which go into our decision to publish or not to publish a listing or press account of a particular sale.

Listing is simple…just download the appropriate form:
