Vanguard Natural Resources, LLC (Vanguard) is a company focused on the acquisition and development of oil and natural gas properties in the United States. Vanguard owns a 100% controlling interest, through certain of its subsidiaries, in properties and oil and natural gas reserves located in four operating areas: the Permian Basin in west Texas and New Mexico; south Texas; the southern portion of the Appalachian Basin, primarily in southeast Kentucky and northeast Tennessee, and Mississippi. In addition, the Company owns an approximate 46.7% aggregate controlling interest through its subsidiary, Encore Energy Partners LP (ENP), in properties and oil and natural gas reserves located in four operating areas: the Permian Basin in west Texas and New Mexico; the Big Horn Basin in Wyoming and Montana; the Williston Basin in North Dakota and Montana; and the Arkoma Basin in Arkansas and Oklahoma

The Company's primary business objective is to generate stable cash flows allowing them to make quarterly cash distributions to its unitholders, and over time to increase its quarterly cash distributions.
